little secrets revealed...

So we have a little secret, well not a secret for many of you, but kept it from my blog. For some reason I wasn't ready to face the reality of this yet, blogging it makes it very REAL! Can't word this just right, but we are expecting a surprise baby! And God loves Daniel just a litte bit more than I thought and is blessing him with a little sidekick...a baby brother! Two Girls and two boys, we are so excited! I am now 20 weeks, and can now talk about the horrid and terrible fall we had, wanted to blog about many times, but it was pretty pathetic. Dishes sat around for days, toys didn't get put away, the floor was being vacuumed by Daniels mouth and I was OK with that...the home went to the dark side all the while I slept...and the the toilet bowl was a frequent friend...yuck! I forget every pregnancy how dang tired you get the first few months, not that it has gone away, but man, 2 or 3 naps a day didn't cut it! This little blessing was a total and complete surprise, we are still scratching our heads...but God knows when these kids are suppose to come and we were just not prepared for it...yes it I thought Daniel officially made our home a circus, but we will be selling tickets starting April to see a crazy show!! The best show is going to be sacrament meetings on Sunday, too bad we can't charge for that one...excuse me while I panic for a second.....AHHHHHHH!! I am just excited to see the kids grow up together, they will have a lot of fun being so close.
I just have to thank my sweet little Annika that has grown up beyond belief these past few months, she went to 25 fits a day to none, and potty trained Olivia, gets her room clean and the kids dressed before I can even think about rolling out of bed...a direct answer to prayers! We were stumped months ago on how to deal with her energy and tears, then we consistently read scriptures with her everyday, before it was hit and miss, but she is reminding us every night to read...this is not supposed to butter up the Snow family, all I can say is that reading scriptures everyday with a child changes them!! So grateful!
Another secret to reveal is that I am a closet quilter...never posted about my little closet that i sew in, but I do and have just fallen back in love with it! Just finished this little gem, it turned out so darling...the process wasn't so pleasant...this pattern was terrible and awful! Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, I would do a ton of things different. Now working to make the girls twin quilts for Christmas, almost done, if only I didn't have to feed and wash children all day! I am not the best seamstress by any means, I have just found joy in something I haven't done in a long time...grant it I got a new machine that is WONDERFUL, but all the same it makes me happy!
Last secret that I want to spill, I cannot keep my children clean and I don't even care anymore! They are going to look like a lost children until they are teenagers...or longer! Annika is very clean, don't know where these little critters came from...
...one day at a time!

Kids sure keep life exciting, just when you find your groove, they make you switch it up again! From pregnancy (a surprise pregnancy none the less), to birth, to growing up and everything in between, they don't want you to be comfortable! But rest assured, a messy house, and raggedy-anne kids never hurt anyone. Someday you'll have a clean house again...like when your kids move out.

I was wondering if something was up with you through little things on your blog, and have been a little worried! I'm glad to know you have just been out of your mind with morning sickness and the prospects of another baby;) Love you and am super surprised and excited for you. If anyone can do it, you can!

Oh Becky!!!! I am SO EXCITED for you guys! How fun for Daniel to have a little brother! I can't believe how much your kids have grown up since last year. Annika is no longer a toddler, she looks like a little girl. Don't you just love how kids bring out the best in us. Even though Andilyn is only a year old, I find myself trying to always be better. Diddo to what Lindsey said, if anyone can do it, you guys can! So excited for you all! Miss you guys, hopefully we can get together sometime soon over the holidays!

Congrats! How exciting for your cute little family! I absolutely love that quilt. So cute. Where do you find the time? I can't find any time to do crafts and I only have 2 kids!

Oh my goodness, oh my GOODNESS Becky! I would be completely scared to death and probably not even have blogged about it so early. But that's ME. you are going to be a champ mom, like always. that's so cute about Annika. That makes me wonder if i should probably start doing that.
And Daniel is a becky junior! He is so SO cute!
Really that is so exciting. Yes, the first little bit will be a handful but once you pass that, it will be so nice having them so close!

Oh Becky--I have totally been there! My number 2 and 3 are 15 months apart and wow--was I surprised!! The tears starting flowing actually when I found out. I weaned my baby in like two weeks because there was no way I could nurse and be pregnant! I love it now though (they are 2 1/2 and 4)--it's almost like having twins! You will do great. Our fourth was born right when my oldest turned 5, so it has been a madhouse these past 7 months. And church...yea, we just go with very low expectations. 4 has definitely been the hardest for me, but it has been mostly because my baby was very high maintainance the first few months. So pray for a calm, easy baby :) Anyways, I am sure you will do great. And it really is such a blast to have them close together. I would do it again in a heartbeat. We have two boys and then two girls--so they each have their little pal just like yours will. Good luck!

Congrats! I cannot believe you are already onto 4 kids. Oh man, you will have to teach me all the tricks if I ever get there. They are adorable and can't wait to see pictures of this new little guy. I've never had a girl, but I sure love little boys! So fun.
